Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is seeking an accounting internship to support the Controller’s group with month-end and quarter-end closing activities in a dynamic refining environment.

You will assist in recording transactions, preparing analyses, and contributing to daily accounting tasks while developing professional skills and gaining exposure to GAAP practices and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program.
• Sophomore status with Intro/Intermediate Accounting coursework completed.
• GPA 3.0 or higher in accounting/finance courses.
• Basic computer skills and good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist month-end and quarter-end close; analyze results and prepare reports.
• Support GAAP accounting tasks and daily accounting transactions.
• Contribute to special projects and perform other Controller’s group duties.
