Opco-Skilled-Management- is seeking an Accounting Intern for a fully remote 3-month paid internship. The role supports the Accounting Manager and offers potential for full-time hire after completion.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel and an Accounting database system.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information.
• Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work additional hours and on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements.
• Develop audit schedules and update financial information monthly.
• Reconcile bank accounts (operations, sweep, payroll, investment) and related asset GL accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for GL and subsidiary ledgers by compiling, researching, and analyzing data.
• Maintain account balances and reconcile differences between balances and external sources.
• Assist in developing reports including financial analysis and depreciation.
• Other duties as assigned
