About the job Remote Accounting Assistant (Property Management)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Remote Accounting Assistant (Property Management)to join our team and support our day-to-day financial operations. This role involves working closely with vendors, tenants, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and timely payments across our real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Categorize, record, and pay all incoming invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor records and ensure accurate information in the system.
  • Track tenant payments and assist with payment posting and reconciliation.
  • Categorize and assign monthly credit card charges to the correct property or account.
  • Enter and save all loan payables in the system and ensure they are paid on time.
  • Reconcile all accounts on a monthly basis and assist in maintaining clean ledgers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
  • Advanced level of Spanish (written and spoken), highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Experience as an Accountant or accounting roles.
  • Accounting knowledge with a clear understanding of core accounting concepts.
  • Experience with Rent Manager is a strong plus, but not required (training provided).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Quick learner with a flexible mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to long-term growth within the company
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have a Windows computer (Windows 10 or newer) that is less than 4 years old.
  • Two monitors and a high-speed fiber network or Starlink internet.
  • Compensation in USD.
  • Full-time position with 40 hours weekly and a morning shift.
  • Great work environment with potential for growth.
