Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the Incentives, Benefits & Reconciliation Accounting department. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze variances while handling large datasets with strong Excel skills.

Remote-first role with occasional travel to Chattanooga; preference to within 50 miles of Chattanooga. Sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Equivalent experience would be 4 years in related field.
• 3 years of work experience in an accounting/financial position is required.
• Weighted equivalent years of relevant work experience - 1 year in public accounting = 2 years of applicable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reporting and analysis.
• Identifying and researching trends and developments.
• Leading special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Collaborating with others identifying process improvements.
