Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Accountant for the Incentives, Benefits & Reconciliation Accounting team.

You will support incentive calculations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance research while developing strong accounting foundations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and motivated, with intermediate Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets for variances and opportunities for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify variances and trends.

Job description

We are hiring an entry-level Accountant for the Incentives, Benefits & Reconciliation Accounting department at BCBST!

In this role, you will support incentive calculations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance research. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with intermediate Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for accuracy.

Accounting or financial experience is a plus, along with exposure to AI-enabled tools.

Note: This role is fully remote, but occasional travel to Chattanooga for attendance at events will be requested. Preference will be given to candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
