Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to join our national CFO Advisory practice. The role offers hybrid or remote work with travel to support client engagements and team collaboration.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to corporate accounting and finance teams, leading engagements across technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial transformation, and transaction-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Active CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting, advisory, or industry accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple client engagements, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Support and optimize financial close processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and timelines.
• Assist with accounting transformation initiatives including cash-to-accrual conversions and opening balance sheet prep.
• Guide organizations through audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors.
• Lead technical accounting projects involving ASC 480, 606, 718, 805, 815, 842.
• Advise on IPO, SPAC, and SEC reporting matters and disclosures.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, memos, reconciliations, and SEC filings (10-Q/10-K).
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative culture.
• Identify opportunities to broaden engagement scope with senior leadership.
