Job summary

Here at Home Healthcare is seeking a Missouri-based accountant to take over our books on a contract basis. You will work directly with our owners, and with our General Manager once that role is filled.

Responsibilities include closing books in QuickBooks Online, preparing monthly P&L, following up on invoices, and reviewing payroll in Gusto. This is a 1099, about 10 to 15 hours a month, with a pay rate of $35 to $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping for small businesses.
• Strong QuickBooks Online skills.
• Payroll experience with Gusto or a similar platform.
• Missouri residency.
• A clean criminal background (a background check is part of hiring).

Responsibilities

• Close our books in QuickBooks Online each month, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare a monthly profit and loss statement and walk the owners through it.
• Follow up on client invoices and open balances.
• Review payroll in Gusto before each twice-monthly run.
• Check that our federal and Missouri payroll tax filings are complete and correct.
