Job summary

Casa Esperanza is seeking an Accountant I to support general ledger activities, reconciliations, and routine financial reporting in a structured corporate finance environment. This entry-level role offers growth under senior staff within a remote, full-time schedule.

You will assist with daily accounting tasks, posting journal entries, and preparing standard reports while ensuring data integrity and adherence to policies. A Bachelor’s degree and basic GAAP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 0–2 years of professional accounting or finance experience; internships or co-op welcome.
• GAAP understanding and standard accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with ERP software preferred.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day accounting activities including data entry, journal entries, and GL maintenance.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries under supervision of senior staff.
• Perform basic reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, sub-ledger).
• Support month-end and year-end close with data gathering and schedules.
• Prepare standard financial reports and management summaries per guidelines.
