Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. seeks an Accountant to support daily accounting and financial operations in a fully remote environment.

You will partner with Accounting, FP&A, and cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate financial records, assist with revenue and expense processes, and contribute to reporting requirements. You will assist with invoicing, collections, reconciliations, month‑end close, and budgeting projects while supporting audits and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related financial operations.
• Prior experience supporting invoicing, collections, reconciliations, month‑end close, reporting, or audit preparation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains required; familiarity with Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, and Adaptive Insights is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, analytical ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer billing activities and verify invoice information for accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Support receivables management by monitoring outstanding customer balances, coordinating collection efforts, and responding to payment-related inquiries.
• Record cash transactions, reconcile receipts, investigate variances, and maintain customer account information.
• Help manage customer onboarding records, tax documentation, and related accounting files.
• Provide assistance with accounts payable functions and vendor payment processing activities.
• Complete account reconciliations, validate financial data, and perform basic financial reviews to support month‑end reporting.
• Develop and maintain recurring financial reports, schedules, and management dashboards.
• Participate in month‑end close activities by preparing supporting schedules and resolving outstanding accounting items.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis projects.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits, including reconciliations, invoices, collections records, and schedules.
• Maintain finance procedures, workflow documentation, and training materials.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to improve financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to special projects and other accounting‑related assignments as needed.
