Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensure client retention, and coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management (or 5+ in insurance), an active P&C license (CIC preferred), strong analytical and service skills, and proficiency with MS Office; remote work is available within ET/CT zones with occasional on-site meetings as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active P&C license; CIC or equivalent designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Ensure timely completion of activities and maintain workload communication
• Deliver proactive service and uphold IOA values
