Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a designated book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new opportunities. This hybrid/remote role requires coordinating daily admin and customer service activities while resolving complex issues for clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ in insurance), a valid P&C license, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication, multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities; resolve complex issues.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and prepare submissions.
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals; handle billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Oversee accounts receivable: monitor reports and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms; ensure data accuracy.
