Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines, with remote work options for Eastern or Central Time Zone candidates. You will manage an assigned book, ensure retention, and coordinate day-to-day client service activities across policy admin, billing, and renewals.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license, and preferably CIC or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required.
• CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• 3+ years of account management or 5+ years in insurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense for timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver service excellence and proactively anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance and champion IOA values.
