Job summary

Marketbridge is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead tech PR programs for B2B clients. This remote role requires EST hours and a proven track record securing top-tier media coverage across cybersecurity, data, cloud, and SaaS sectors.

You will manage day-to-day execution across multiple accounts, mentor junior staff, and partner with VPs to shape strategic PR campaigns, while driving client outcomes and executive visibility.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of PR experience in agency or corporate setting
• Previous technology PR experience required, B2B tech preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or adjacent field
• Strong comfort level in a client-facing role; manage and lead client status calls and brainstorms
• Solid record of securing Tier 1 and trade earned media coverage for the tech sector
• Writing samples showing extensive experience drafting press releases, bylines, and other relevant writing content
• Create, edit, and develop communications materials including brand messaging, press releases, external talking points, FAQs, reporting materials, and pitches
• Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle shifting priorities and deadlines
• Experience leading speaking and awards programs for wider client visibility
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day execution across 5–6 accounts, leads for at least two
• Communicates account health and performance to VPs
• Develops draft plans for major PR campaigns (e.g., launches, funding)
• Directs teams toward national and business press opportunities
• Develops media strategies and secures top-tier coverage for clients
• Ensures high-level materials are brand-compliant and legally sound
• Leads client calls and drives media/campaign ideation
• Mentors and manages junior staff and oversees staffing
• Builds flexible team structures to accommodate clients’ needs
• Contributes to new business with client examples and media wins
• Attends local industry events and supports recruiting efforts
