Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking an Account Director for Medical Pharma Strategy and Contracting. You will support negotiations teams, review contracts, interpret matrices, and participate in strategic initiatives. You will analyze financial impact and help drive payer strategies.

Role requires deep industry knowledge and strong analytical, communication, and project-management abilities. Occasional remote work and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Sophistication at positioning value prop and client needs; strong critical thinking.
• Ability to manage timelines and document progress on projects; flexible schedule during peak volume.
• Ability to assess program metrics and financials; strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of the specialty healthcare, pharma and PBM industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Negotiators, Sr. Account Directors and Account Management to define strategy and content.
• Consult with team leaders to determine data needs and submit data requests.
• Provide consultative feedback to negotiators and input on client strategy across accounts.
• Develop understanding of client needs and map services to meet those needs.
• Lead special projects and participate in other strategic initiatives.
