Zusammenfassung

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist to ensure our products meet WCAG, Section 508 and EN 301 549 standards. You’ll work with engineering and design to embed accessibility from the ground up, ideal for someone early in their accessibility career to grow technical skills and make an impact.

You’ll collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering teams, document defects, and stay current with evolving standards while supporting audits and maintaining

Qualifikationen

• Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver).
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript as they relate to accessible web development.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• 0-2 years of accessibility experience welcomed via internships, coursework, or projects.

Aufgaben

• Communicate and collaborate with customers.
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2AA, EN 301 549 and Section 508 standards.
• Document accessibility defects clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify remediation approaches.
• Support accessibility audits of new and existing features throughout the development lifecycle.
• Help maintain and update accessibility documentation, including ACRs (VPATs), Roadmaps, Statements, etc.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to advocate for accessible design and development practices.
• Stay current on evolving accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and industry best practices.
