Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is hiring a Digital Accessibility Specialist in a hybrid role based in the United States.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure EBSCOhost and related products meet WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 accessibility standards, identifying issues, testing solutions, and remediating defects. Ideal candidates have up to two years of accessibility experience, familiarity with assistive technologies, and a basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript as

Qualifications

0-2 years of accessibility experience (internships, coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects welcome).
Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers).
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript as they relate to accessible web development.
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Communicate and collaborate with customers.
Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 standards.
Document accessibility defects and work with cross-functional teams to identify remediation approaches.
Support accessibility audits of new and existing features throughout the development lifecycle.
Help maintain accessibility documentation (ACRs/VPATs, roadmaps, statements).
Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to advocate accessible design and development practices.
Stay current on evolving accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
