Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Virtual Access Specialist to educate Health Care Providers on patient access and reimbursement. This remote role targets HCP offices in the assigned geography to navigate payer processes and improve the patient experience.

You will build relationships with providers, stay current on payer policies, and collaborate across sales, market access, and patient services to remove barriers and optimize access. Strong communication and critical thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in sciences, pharmacy, business or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years in account management, payer management, or access and reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of payer policy processes and coverage criteria.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement.
• Serve as SME on local, regional, and national payer policies.
• Develop relationships with providers within the territory.
• Coordinate cross-matrix communications with sales, market access, and patient service teams.
• Use approved resources and data to support HCP education initiatives.
• Identify and report payer trends to Patient Services and market access teams.
• Own process improvements to enhance system efficiency and access strategies.
