Job summary

Oregon State University seeks an Access Advisor for Disability Access Services. This full-time, 9-month role provides remote student support, intake interviews, and ongoing assistance to DAS students across Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, and Ecampus.

The Access Adviser collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations are implemented. The role emphasizes coaching to promote persistence and achievement, joining the Documentation Review Teams, and supporting timely determinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Psychology or other field with two years of professional experience.
• Understanding of section 504 and ADA as applied to post-secondary institutions.
• Experience reading diagnostic assessments and documenting cognitive/psychiatric/medical disorders and functional impact.
• Excellent computer, communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with the AIM accommodation management system.
• Commitment to quality improvement and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Director Student Support (80%): serve as a remote access adviser for all DAS students (Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, Ecampus), conduct intake interviews and provide ongoing support.
• DAS Program Support (20%): collaborate with on- and off-campus entities to provide training and support to enhance access to DAS resources and student support.
