Oregon State University is seeking an Access Advisor within Disability Access Services. This is a full-time, 9-month professional faculty position.

The Access Adviser meets with prospective students and works with eligible students to support persistence, retention and achievement goals. The role collaborates with the Documentation Review Team and Housing Documentation Review Team to ensure timely, consistent accommodations, and coordinates with faculty and staff to implement reasonable supports

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Psychology or other field with two years of professional experience with individuals with disabilities
• Understanding of Section 504 and ADA as applied to post-secondary educational institutions
• Experience reading diagnostic assessments and documenting cognitive, psychiatric and medical disorders and their functional impact in an educational setting
• Excellent computer, communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with the AIM accommodation management system
• Commitment to quality improvement and inclusive work environment

Mansioni

• Director Student Support (80%): serve as a remote access adviser supporting all DAS students (Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, Ecampus).
• DAS Program Support (20%): collaborate on training and support to enhance access to DAS resources.
