Job summary

MinutePay Inc. is seeking an Academic Dean for MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio, a remote, full-time exempt role overseeing academic standards, student conduct, attendance compliance, and integrity.

The school will serve grades 7-11 in its first year, with plans to grow to over 1,000 students by 2030. You will supervise teachers, coordinate data and testing, and work with Student Support for interventions, coaching staff with warmth and rigor, addressing sensitive student and family situations

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise instructional staff, holding weekly 1:1s focused on coaching, support, and goal setting.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for new teachers.
• Observe live instruction and office hours on a bi-weekly basis and provide actionable feedback.
• Monitor grading practices to ensure students receive timely, high-quality feedback.
• Complete annual and semi-annual walk-throughs and performance reviews as outlined by the ODEW and manage bi-weekly timecard approvals.
• Coordinate instructional and grading coverage for teacher absences.
• Address performance concerns through clear expectations, documentation, and, when needed, formal improvement plans in partnership with People Operations.
