Job summary

Miaplaza-Inc is seeking an Academic Dean for MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio. The role leads the instructional team, oversees student conduct, attendance, and academic integrity, and drives teacher supervision, data analysis, and testing coordination.

You will collaborate with Student Support and leadership to align instruction with Ohio requirements in a virtual school setting. The ideal candidate has proven leadership in education, experience supervising staff, and comfort with online learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Valid Ohio teaching license and/or administrator license, or ability to obtain.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., department chair, instructional coach, dean, or assistant principal).
• Experience in virtual school settings or teaching online.
• Experience supervising employees and conducting evaluations or performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise instructional staff with weekly 1:1 coaching.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for teachers.
• Observe live instruction and provide actionable feedback bi-weekly.
• Monitor grading practices for timely, high-quality feedback.
• Coordinate timecard approvals and performance reviews as per policy.
• Oversee attendance compliance and student conduct processes.
• Coordinate data analysis and testing coordination for state assessments.
