Job summary

Miaplaza, Inc. is seeking an Academic Dean for MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio. The role leads instructional staff, oversees academic data and testing, and partners with Student Support to ensure student success.

Requires a track record of coaching teachers, sound judgment with sensitive matters, and strong collaboration across teams. The position is remote with Ohio residency required and reports to School Leader.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience mentoring teachers and driving instruction.
• Strong judgment with sensitive student, family, and staff situations.
• Comfort working across teams including student support and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise instructional staff with weekly 1:1 coaching.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for new teachers.
• Observe instruction and provide actionable feedback on a bi‑weekly basis.
• Monitor grading practices for timely feedback.
• Oversee teacher performance reviews and timecard approvals.
• Coordinate coverage during absences and manage compliance.
