Job summary

Avesis is seeking an experienced AR & Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and reduce past-due balances through proactive outreach and issue resolution. You will analyze account activity, identify root causes of delinquency, and coordinate with Billing, Cash Application, and Account Management to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing account portfolios.
• Experience using AR systems and working with customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and databases.
• Remote role: reliable home internet with 50 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of delinquent accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Perform outbound collections activities on accounts aged 30, 60, 90, and 120+ days.
• Research and resolve short payments, underpayments, unapplied cash, and discrepancies.
• Identify root causes of delinquency and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Application, Account Management to resolve issues.
• Manage and track payment disputes from identification to resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to management as appropriate.
