Job summary

United Benefit Pensions, a Strongpoint Partner, seeks a skilled Retirement Plan Administrator to own a caseload of defined contribution plans. You will manage 401(k) and cross-tested plans from start to finish, with strong compliance testing and client-focused service.

This remote-friendly role offers a hybrid option with a Melville, NY base and a culture that values flexibility, trust, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2-5+ years of retirement plan administration experience.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and testing standards.
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations.
• Proficiency with Datair/CalcAir software (preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with solid math/accounting skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment.
• ASPPA credentials (or in progress) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle plan operations for 401(k) and cross-tested plans.
• Conduct compliance testing including ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 401(a)(4).
• Coordinate year-end valuations and interpret plan documents.
• Process participant transactions such as loans, hardships, distributions.
• Prepare and file IRS/government forms including 5500, 8955, 5330.
• Reconcile plan assets and complete trust accounting tasks.
• Import and manage census and participant data.
• Recommend plan design changes to ensure ongoing compliance and client satisfaction.
• Communicate with clients on plan administration issues clearly.
