Job summary

Strongpoint Partners, based in Melville, NY, seeks a skilled Retirement Plan Administrator to own a caseload of defined contribution plans. Handle 401(k) and cross-tested plans end-to-end with strong compliance testing and client-focused service in a remote-friendly environment.

The role supports a flexible, trust-based culture with no weekends, hybrid/remote options, and competitive pay. Aspires for ASPPA credentials and solid ERISA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-5+ years of retirement plan administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and testing standards.
• ERISA regulations familiarity.
• Datair/CalcAir software proficiency preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced remote work environment.
• ASPPA credentials (or in progress) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle plan operations for 401(k) and cross-tested plans.
• Perform compliance testing (ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 401(a)(4)).
• Coordinate year-end valuations and interpret plan documents.
• Process participant transactions (loans, hardships, distributions).
• Prepare and file IRS forms (5500, 8955, 5330).
• Reconcile plan assets and complete trust accounting tasks.
• Import and manage census/participant data.
• Recommend plan design changes to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.
• Communicate plan administration issues clearly with clients.
