Job summary

Stone Alliance Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end 3PL transition from the Northeast distribution center to a 3PL in the southeastern United States. The role is remote on a 1099 independent contractor basis, requiring coordination across supply chain, operations, and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of project management experience, including supply chain, distribution, or warehouse projects.
• Proven track record of executing complex supply chain or operational transformation projects.
• Deep understanding of warehouse distribution operations, logistics, inventory movement, and fulfillment processes.
• Experience managing projects involving third-party logistics providers (3PL).
• Proficiency with PM platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Jira, plus Excel.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, conflict-resolution, and matrix-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, resolve problems, and maintain progress across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end operational execution of the 3PL transition project.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with schedules, milestones, dependencies, and assigned responsibilities.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across supply chain, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory, fulfillment, and technology.
• Ensure processes are prepared to support volumes, service expectations, and transition timelines.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, resource constraints, and risks; implement mitigation plans.
• Establish clear communication and accountability across participants.
• Provide executives with status updates, risk assessments, milestone reporting, and evaluations.
• Support a smooth handoff and continuity of service during the transition.
