Job summary

Turner Construction Company in the United States seeks a skilled designer to develop accurate 3D models and shop drawings for xPL Offsite products and project applications, translating design intent into fabrication-ready documentation using manufacturing-oriented 3D platforms.

You will coordinate interfaces across structural, mechanical, electrical, and conveyance systems, apply DFMA principles, and collaborate with designers and vendors to produce fabrication-ready output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years in manufacturing or construction

Responsibilities

• Create accurate, detailed 3D models for structure, MEP, and embedded systems
• Develop complete shop drawing and Issued for Fabrication packages with views, dimensions, details, and schedules
• Coordinate interfaces between structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and manufactured product systems in federated models
• Model across 3D and manufacturing-oriented platforms (Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, Rhino)
• Apply DFMA principles to develop product details, connections, components, and assemblies
• Ensure design-to-fabrication output conforms to codes, contracts, and project specs
• Work with design stakeholders to translate criteria into coordinated models and fabrication-ready docs
• Collaborate with xPL manufacturing team to resolve fabrication issues and improve outputs
• Maintain model accuracy, revision history, and document control
• Participate in model and drawing reviews, prototype development, and quality checks
• Contribute to standardized templates, libraries, and repeatable workflows
• Support scripting, automation, and workflow improvements
• Build expertise in xPL products to drive development and continuous improvement
