Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a skilled 3D modeling and fabrication documentation expert to develop highly coordinated models for xPL Offsite products. You will create shop drawings, coordinate interfaces across structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural domains, and prepare robust fabrication-ready documentation.

The role requires experience in prefabrication, multiple MCAD tools, and strong collaboration with design stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or construction
• Experience in prefabrication and construction operations in commercial settings
• Proficiency in MCAD software (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CAD Mep, Rhino or similar)
• Familiar with coordination software (Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Bluebeam)
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, C#, VB.Net)
• Strong communication, organization, and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Create accurate, detailed 3D models for xPL Offsite products (structural, piping, electrical)
• Develop complete shop drawings and IFF packages with all required views, dimensions, schedules
• Coordinate interfaces between structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural systems
• Model across 3D and manufacturing platforms (Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, Rhino)
• Apply DFMA principles to develop connections and assemblies
• Maintain model/drawing accuracy and document control; support reviews and fabrication readiness checks
