Job summary

Platte + Pine Construction & Remodel in Omaha is seeking a Remodeling Carpenter to turn approved plans into finished spaces on occupied homes across the Omaha metro.

You will handle both rough and finish carpentry, following defined scopes and schedules, with direct access to the owner and opportunities to grow with the company.

This full-time on-site role offers steady year-round work, competitive hourly pay ranging from $22 to $28, and a collaborative, detail‑driven team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential carpentry experience; remodeling experience preferred.
• Strong finish carpentry skills, including cabinetry, trim, and millwork installation.
• Comfortable with rough framing and structural modifications in existing homes
• Working familiarity with demo, drywall, flooring, and paint
• Your own hand tools and standard power tools
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
• Able to lift and carry heavy materials and stay on your feet through the day
• Able to follow a defined scope and work independently once you have it
• Professional, clean, and respectful in clients’ homes… we are guests there
• Clear communicator who shows up on time

Responsibilities

• Rough carpentry: framing, blocking, layout, structural modifications, subfloor, and door and window installation
• Finish carpentry: cabinetry, trim, base and casing, built-ins, doors, and hardware
• Support related scopes as the project requires, including demo, drywall repair, flooring, and paint touch-ups
• Build from plans, 3D renderings, and a defined scope of work
• Work through punch-list items so the final walkthrough is clean the first time
• Protect the client’s home with floor protection, dust containment, and daily cleanup on occupied job sites
• Keep the job site organized, safe, and inspection-ready
• Flag issues early and bring solutions to the project manager instead of surprises
• Represent Platte + Pine professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and trade partners

We are looking for a carpenter who wants to hold that same standard on the tools.

The Opportunity

As a Remodeling Carpenter, you are the person turning approved plans and 3D renderings into a finished space. You will work across both rough and finish carpentry in occupied homes throughout the Omaha metro… framing and layout one week, cabinetry and trim the next.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of the finished product and does not need to be chased to get the details right.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site across the Omaha metro.
