Murphy Bros. Design|Build|Remodel is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Minnesota team. You will work from blueprints and direction from Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to bring residential remodeling projects to life, from framing through finish work.

This hands-on role requires interpreting plans, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to project documentation and cost inputs. Our workweek runs Monday through Friday with benefits and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of carpentry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; formal carpentry training or drafting/blueprint reading is a plus.
• Solid understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and construction documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, installation of doors/windows, trim, cabinetry, flooring, and related tasks.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and materials.
• Follow safety protocols and keep the site clean and organized.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure on-time completion.

As a Carpenter, you'll work from blueprints, drawings, and direction from our Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to bring residential remodeling projects to life — from framing through finish work. It's hands-on, varied work, and every project is a chance to sharpen your craft.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Carpentry Tasks

• Complete and assist with tasks such as framing, installation of doors and windows, trim work, cabinetry, flooring, and other structural or finishing elements
• Utilize hand tools, machines, and power tools
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions, ensuring adherence
• Follow safety protocols and keep the worksite clean and organized

Collaboration

• Understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets
• Interpret specifications in project scope, sketches, or building plans to assist with project layout and determine dimensions and required materials
• Effectively communicate with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other personnel to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve issues

Project Documentation

• Complete progress reports, work logs, and material records
• Communicate change orders and submit reimbursement requests in accordance with applicable policies
• Accurately input timekeeping information to ensure correct job costing
