Job summary

Remington1816 in Lonoke, Arkansas is seeking an on-site Remelt Operator to conduct remelt operations and ensure safety and quality during the process. You will handle loading, melting, and molding of lead, monitor contaminant risks, and support continuous production flow.

The role requires following complex instructions, maintaining equipment, and complying with ISO/goals and safety directives as part of the Remington Team. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or recognized equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English sufficiently to perform duties.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervision.
• Read and comprehend process instructions.
• Record pertinent process information as required.
• Possess basic PC skills to navigate menus and print documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remelt operations and follow safety rules.
• Inspect containers for contaminants before processing.
• Load wire, billets, ingots and small materials onto conveyor belts in portions.
• Fill the pot with scrap sufficient to melt and process.
• Skim dross and pump molten lead into pig molds; weigh and store.
• Maintain and adjust pumps and pots as needed to keep system running.
• Attend to safety, attendance, and overtime requirements as needed.
