Henderson Economic Development seeks a Die Cast Operator to ensure quality molten aluminum supply to casting presses, maintain furnace temperatures, skim slag, and manage scrap material. This on-site role requires staying alert to temperature alarms and following safety policies.

Requires a GED, a Gibbs powered industrial equipment license, and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience with powered industrial equipment such as a forklift.

Competenze

• GED or high school diploma required.
• At least 6 months in manufacturing with powered equipment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Maintain metal temperatures in remelt and holding furnaces.
• Operate the casting press with molten aluminum.
• Add proportions of scrap metal and ingots as specified.
• Sprinkle fluxing compound to remove impurities and skim slag.
• Convey molten aluminum to holding furnaces and scrap to remelt furnaces.
• Maintain an adequate supply of aluminum and order raw materials using FIFO.
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality policies and wear required PPE.
