Job summary

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation in Henderson, KY is seeking a dependable Remelt & Forklift Operator to keep our production operation running safely and efficiently. You will operate powered industrial equipment, manage aluminum materials, and supply our casting presses with the molten aluminum they need to produce quality die-cast products.

This hands-on role emphasizes staying active, working with equipment, and being part of a team committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 6 months of manufacturing experience with powered equipment.
Current Gibbs license or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to work safely in a hot environment around furnaces.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift and other equipment to move aluminum and materials.
Monitor and maintain proper metal temperatures in remelt and holding furnaces.
Add scrap metal and ingots to furnaces as needed.
Perform fluxing, skimming, and degassing to maintain aluminum quality.
Safely transport molten aluminum to holding furnaces at presses.
Collect and transport scrap metal for reuse.
Maintain and organize raw materials using FIFO.
Monitor furnace and press temperature alarms and respond appropriately.
Follow all safety, environmental, health, and quality requirements, including PPE.
Maintain regular attendance and work overtime when assigned.
