Job summary

R. H. Sheppard Co. is seeking a Tester to test remanufactured steering gears and perform evaluation tests on warranty claims. You will troubleshoot and analyze customer claims and communicate technical information to warranty and quality control departments.

Responsibilities include data entry, maintaining a clean work area, and performing other duties as assigned. The role operates on an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend plans and/or blueprints.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles.
• Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Test remanufactured steering gears and perform evaluation tests on warranty claims.
• Troubleshoot and analyze customer claims and communicate technical information to warranty and quality control teams.
• Input data entry transactions and retrieve information from the computer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station and retrieve materials as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
