Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is seeking a Reman laborer to build material from a list and affix labels to packs of lumber. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include stacking lumber, loading/unloading, operating sawing equipment, maintaining clean reman area, and ensuring proper disposal of waste. High School diploma preferred; no prior experience required.

• No prior experience or training.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes all safety requirements, including Personal Protective Equipment.
• Stacks lumber or other wood products.
• Keeps reman area clean at all times, including staples, cross-outs, and any other damaged material.
• Load and unload lumber and timber from conveyors
• Measure and indicate cutting lines on lumber, timber, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate record of job operations as well as up-to-date inventory.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials on completion of job operations.
• Sort and arrange lumber, timbers, and finished goods according to sizes and grades to allow for easy identification.
• Operate sawing equipment to make precise cuts.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as dry kilns in effectively drying lumber.
