Job summary

The Building People is hiring a Relocation Project Manager in the Washington, DC area to lead major office relocations and coordinate cross‑functional teams across design, construction, and move planning.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and minimum four years of related experience; PMP is preferred. Telework arrangements may apply; strong communication and cost control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical area; four years of relevant experience.
• PMP preferred; government or federal project experience valued.
• Ability to read/interpret complex documents (leases, contracts, charters).
• Develop and implement communication plans for meetings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings at site or offices and provide updates.
• Create and maintain project reports, scope, schedule, budget, risks.
• Lead project delivery resources and coordinate cross‑team efforts.
• Assist with procurement, bid questions, site visits, and RFP responses.
• Oversee design and construction phases, monitor submittals and progress.
• Close out projects with lessons learned and occupancy planning.
