Job summary

Muslim Center of Greater Princeton seeks a Religious Director to foster spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement for the congregation and broader community.

The role oversees Masjid engagements, weekly khutbahs, weekend school, and Gardens of Knowledge, while guiding counseling services and interfaith initiatives. Strong knowledge of Islamic principles and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in youth leadership and community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of Islamic principles and ability to relate them to contemporary issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead Masjid engagements and weekly khutbahs.
• Oversee Weekend School and Gardens of Knowledge courses.
• Provide counseling and mentoring to youth and community members.
• Coordinate interfaith outreach and fundraising efforts.
• Perform Nikahs and Janazas as backup.
• Develop written counseling protocols and maintain confidential records.
