Job summary

Dartmouth College seeks a Muslim Chaplain and Associate Director to support the Muslim student community and join the Tucker Center team in promoting diversity and community. This role helps the Chaplain and Director meet administrative, fiscal, and operational goals across the Tucker Center.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with related experience, 3–5 years with Muslim student populations, and a commitment to inclusive programming in a higher education setting. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with training in Muslim student advising and other world faith traditions.
• Minimum 3–5 years working with diverse Muslim college-age students.
• Experience in higher education environments and student programming.
• Ability to support diverse religious, ethnic, gender, and cultural perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Support Al-Nur in programming, leadership development, and campus life (35%).
• Coordinate services with Al-Nur leaders for Jumma’ah and Muslim holy days (15%).
• Lead interfaith dialogue and promote cultural exchange among students (15%).
• Provide pastoral care and counselling to students, focusing on Muslim community (10%).
• Help Tucker staff with orientations, celebrations, and committee work (10%).
• Develop new programming with campus partners and guests (5%).
