Job summary

Red Star Yeast Company LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Relief General Services Operator to load yeast shipments, supply materials, and keep the plant and warehouses clean. The role supports multiple departments and follows all safety protocols.

You will participate in a rotating schedule, work with forklifts, and help unload rail cars, contributing to efficient operations and on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with valves, pumps, pipes, vessels and batch creation preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and forklift.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good communication and customer service within the company.

Responsibilities

• Load crumbled, block, or nutritional yeast for shipment and complete loading paperwork.
• Supply plant departments with raw materials and packaging items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and warehouse areas.
• Unload railcars and assist with inventory control.
• Cross-train into other General Services functions.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety programs.
