Job summary

ARK Housing Association in Kelso is seeking a Relief Support Practitioner to assist in delivering person-centred support to ten residents with varying needs. The role emphasises dignity, independence, and safe tenancy support across activities chosen by service users.

You will work closely with colleagues to provide compassionate care, encourage participation, and maintain accurate records using Ark’s Information Management system.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care is advantageous but not essential.
• Training will be provided by Ark during the role.

Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues as part of an effective team to support vulnerable people.
• Communicate and work well with supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
• Provide guidance and encouragement during activities and give positive feedback.
• Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.
