Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Relief Support Worker for Grove House, Kelso. You will provide person-centred practical and emotional support under individual plans, promoting wellbeing and inclusivity.

This casual/relief role may involve assisting with daily living activities and personal care, with safe medication administration as trained. PVG Adults checks are arranged by SBC, and a clear path to registration via the SSSC is supported.

Qualifications

  • SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. You can earn whilst you learn!
  • PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred practical and emotional support to empower service users according to individual support plans.
  • Promote health and well-being and ensure needs are met inclusively.
  • Support, enable and involve service users in daily activities including personal care and mobility.
  • Administer medication safely following training.

Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.

Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users’ medication, following relevant training.
