Job summary

Ranger Energy Services, LLC in Colorado is seeking a Relief Operator to cover for routine absences and assist the Rig Manager with daily operations on the workover rig.

You will lead floor hands and derrick hands, conduct safety meetings, coordinate materials, drive the rig to sites, and ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently.

This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to train and supervise a small crew on rig operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years Floor Hand experience.
• 1–2 years Derrick Hand experience.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rig crew in rig-up and rig-down and perform post-check inspections.
• Pull and lay down rods, tubing and casing using rig controls.
• Guide and manage the rig crew on a daily basis.
• Assist in training SSE employees and floor hands.
• Prepare rig tickets with pricing and track crew hours.
• Drive crew truck when needed.
• Perform services on oil and gas wells as part of a 3/5-person crew.
• Ensure safe completion of contracted services.
