Job summary

Ranger Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Relief Operator I to support rig operations under a Rig Manager. This role includes leading a crew, rigging up/down, and performing well service tasks while documenting materials and hours.

The position requires 1–2 years in floor and derrick hands, strong English communication, and basic computer skills. A Class B CDL is encouraged. Work is on-site with safety-focused procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Floor Hand experience.
• 1-2 years of Derrick hand experience.
• Excellent English communication (verbal/written).
• Advanced problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew in rigging up and down on the workover rig and document post-rig up inspections.
• Pull and lay down rods, tubing, and casing by operating rig controls.
• Guide and manage the rig crew daily.
• Assist in training SSE employees and floor hands as needed.
• Assist Rig Manager with tasks around the rig as directed.
• Prepare rig tickets with correct pricing and hours for crew.
• Perform services on oil and gas wells as part of a 3/5-person crew.
• Assist in rigging up and down; drive crew truck when necessary.
