Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our patient care team. The RN will lead assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, monitoring progress, and collaboration with physicians to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current Oregon RN license required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
• ER and/or OB experience preferred, with a willingness to orient to both departments.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health records and related computer systems.
• Passion for working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient conditions and creating individualized care plans
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and documenting patient responses and clinical progress
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Educating patients and families on care plans, treatments and recovery
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards
• Responding promptly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
