Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Relief Registered Nurse for Mountainview Women’s Health Center in Grandview, WA. You will provide direct patient care, triage calls, document in EPIC, and support care plans with a multidisciplinary team.

We value compassionate, individualized care and community focus. Active WA RN license and WA/OR licensure readiness within 120 days are essential, with BCLS due within 90 days and ACLS/PALS preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of outpatient or clinical RN experience is preferred.
• Active WA RN license
• Dual Washington/Oregon licensure required within 120 days
• Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC): proof of primary state of residence and suicide-prevention training during onboarding.
• Military Nurses not required to obtain NLC
• BCLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred at level 10
• ALTA score 10 eligible for bilingual differential compensation

Responsibilities

• Provides care during patient visits, discussing chief complaint and obtaining vital signs and complete health history for the patient.
• Performs phone triage with patients to determine chief complaint and assessment of next steps and follow up care needed
• Documents health history, assessments, actions and medications in the EMR system
• Assists providers in diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Performs IV Starts when ordered and explains procedure to patient
• Communicates with patient to collect allergies and preexisting conditions
• Provides information regarding procedures including site selection and possible complications
• Collaborates with other providers in developing patient plan of care and coordinates interagency referrals
• Implements patient plan of care including education and follow-up care
• Collaborates with ancillary staff to maintain smooth patient flow
• Performs duties aligned with The Joint Commission (TJC), HRSA, and YVFWC requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned
