Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to transport pupils on assigned routes within a district setting. The role requires a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform pre-trip inspections and basic bus maintenance.

You will follow safety rules, adhere to schedules, supervise students, and report incidents to the Supervisor of Transportation. This substitute position supports safe, efficient transportation and student wellbeing on a daily basis.

Qualifications

Must have valid CDL.
Minimum safe driving experience as determined by the board.
Sufficient mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.
Ability to maintain passenger discipline for safety.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip safety inspections and complete the School Bus Condition Report.
Notify bus mechanic of malfunctions or hazards and perform light bus maintenance.
Assist with interior cleaning, refueling and keeping buses in good condition.
Adhere to routes, stops and time schedules; ensure pupils disembark safely.
Report accidents and incidents promptly to supervisor and principal.
Avoid cell phone use while bus is in gear; follow safety rules and bus regulations.
