Job summary

BrightKey is seeking an experienced Mail Courier / Driver in Long Island City, NY. The role focuses on safe, timely mail and package deliveries with accurate record-keeping and routine vehicle checks.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with a Monday–Friday schedule (6:30am–3:00pm). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience driving and handling mail is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry mail/packages up to a weight limit.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills (log deliveries, tracking).
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver mail and packages to and from specified locations.
• Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Report issues or delays encountered during delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Log deliveries and shipments using basic computer systems.
