Job summary

Lunar Energy seeks a Hardware Test Engineer to design and automate test stands for power converters, DC-DCs, and battery systems, collecting data and performing failure analysis. The role spans electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software disciplines, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering foundation, hands-on testing experience, and Python programming skills to automate tests and analyze large datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or engineering physics required; mechatronics/robotics concentration is a plus.
• Strong sense of curiosity and ownership in a dynamic environment.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in electronics, heat transfer, or mechanics of materials.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and standard diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate test stands for power converters and battery systems end to end.
• Develop test specifications reflecting field conditions and translate data into stress profiles.
• Write Python test software to automate testing and process large datasets.
• Document and communicate test results with clear conclusions and recommendations.
