Job summary

Ashcroft Inc. in Stratford, CT is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment reliable and safe.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, hands-on experience, and the ability to read drawings, work with CMMS, and collaborate with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus post high school technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or professional trade license.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas actuated systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with CMMS and basic computer skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, and production lines.
• Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic, air, and gas lines, including valves, regulators, and fittings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule and document all work performed.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Ashcroft’s safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
• Any and other duties as assigned.
