Job summary

Defense Acquisition Support Services LLC (DAS) seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support the U.S. Government’s Supply Chain Management Division. The role focuses on maintenance engineering, reliability, logistics, and sustainment to keep critical systems mission-ready.

You will analyze engineering and logistics data, perform RAM analyses and FMECA, and collaborate with acquisition, engineering, and maintenance teams to develop actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in maintenance or reliability engineering.
• Hands-on RAM analysis experience.
• Experience with FMECA/FMEA.
• Understanding of MTBF and obsolescence.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and data to extract maintenance information.
• Perform RAM analysis to assess reliability and readiness.
• Conduct FMECA/FMEA to identify failure modes and impacts.
• Analyze MTBF, failure rates, wear-out and lifecycles.
• Identify parts at risk due to obsolescence or tech refresh.
• Evaluate Level of Repair Analysis to select maintenance strategy.
• Determine repair vs replace and depot vs field decisions.
• Develop technical analyses and documentation for sustainment decisions.
• Collaborate with acquisition, engineering, logistics teams.
• Brief stakeholders on findings and recommendations.
